The Most Valuable (Subtitles)

This project is personally important to me. We shot it for The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine back in 2015. It’s a series of videos and prints showing true reasons to fight for your country.
In the beginning, we interviewed Ukrainian vets to discover that they go to war not for political ideas, government, or money. They go to protect their loved ones, and they all hold on to something that reminds of them.
In 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and just overnight, more than 100,000 Ukrainian civilians became soldiers. The Ukrainian government couldn’t supply all of them, so we created Gear For Ukraine. It’s a platform that collects donated body armor and other essential gear from American veterans and sends it to Ukraine. We started with 2-3 boxes per week; now we send +30 boxes of different equipment directly to Ukranian warriors.

I made this robo-thing when I was waiting for my work permit.
Every non-US citizen has to face USCIS and ICE, two government agencies responsible for all legalization processes. It takes forever. Students waiting for OPT visas, talents expecting O1, or refugees looking for protection – everyone is waiting. And we all ask the same question again and again, “How is it going with my papers?”
